How To Create Facebook Fan Page
Having a Facebook Fan page has almost become mandatory for all businesses, irrespective of their size and nature of business. While multinationals such as Unilever and Procter & Gamble understood the sheer power of this social media, there are others who have realized what they lost to competition. Facebook fan page is not restricted to the multinational giants, you’ll benefit from a fan page even if you are a work from home mum, teaching art work to students in your free time!
Here are step by step instructions on how you can create a Facebook Fan Page and drive scores of visitors to your website:
- Log on to your Facebook account or create an account if you don’t already have one.
- At the right hand bottom of the Facebook page, you will see “Create a Page” option. Click on it

- You will see a few categories such as:
-Local business/Place
-Entertainment
-Brand/Product
-Company/Organization/Institution
Select an appropriate category, depending on the nature of your business
- Under each category, you will be asked to select sub categories, and give the name of your business, brand or your name, again, depending on your business. If you are a local business or place, you will have to mention your address as well. Tick “I agree to the terms of Facebook”
- Your Facebook Fan Page is almost ready. You now have to add a Profile picture, Edit info about your business, invite friends, you can tell your present customers to join your fan page, and post updates, and promotes the page on your website.
- Before you invite your friends or post updates, click “edit Page” which appears at the top right hand corner
- On the left corner, you will see Basic Information. Click on it and fill up all the details.
- Save the page, and move on to other tabs –managing admins, permissions, and so on.
