Microsoft has made windows vista available to download online. Don’t’ get too excited! it’s not a free download of course, Its just another way to purchase Microsoft Windows Vista more available to users who find it too difficult to walk into the store and get the software. But is this good or bad? Should you buy the downloadable vista? Or should you get it from the store? In this article I wanted to point out few things to consider before you decide how to purchase Windows Vista. The software can be downloaded from Microsoft’s Website

But before you go there check out those few pointers:

1) Do you have dial-up connection? If you do, I would strongly suggest walking to the closest software store  and buy windows vista or you can buy windows vista online. Either way would be better than getting it online. downloading windows vista on a dial-up connection could take days! If you have high speed connection, then that will not be an issue.

2) Make sure you know that you will get a file, that you would need to put on CD or DVD and use for the installation. Make sure you can burn a CD or DVD so you can eventually move the files to them. You actually have the option to purchase a CD or DVD from Microsoft after your download the software.

3)You can’t make this software available for others, If you want to keep the downloaded files safe, they can’t be in public place, like your public website for example OR worse yet , if you have Peer to Peer sharing (Beareshare, imesh, or other downloading clients) some people with the same sharing client might be able to get to the file, download it and use the key that you paid for , so be careful there, make sure the folder that has the software is not shared.
