Weather Gadget Windows Vista Sidebar

 Weather Gadget, Forcast and Radar

Thats right! don’t trust the weather man! Use the weather gadget. This is one of the most interesting, useful, and practical windows vista sidebar gadgets.  If you live in the midwest you really want to know weather you are getting 15 or 20 inches of snow (either way you are screwed!), or you live in Florida and you wana check if its a good day for surfing after work (now we’r talkin!)  The Weather gadget comes in really handy.  The weather Gadget has many views , I have prepared few screenshots to check this gadget that will let you know weather you should buy a surf board or a snow shuffle!  Here are some of the funcitonalities you will see in the weather gadget:

1 ) First off, lets go ahead and setup the Weather gadget,  you can download the gadget from here, double click on it and it will automatically install on your windows vista sidebar. Click on the settings menu (wranch looking icon on the top right corner)  to set the location, you can customize live local weather.

2) In this screen you can select the degrees you want and enter your city and state  click  Search

3)  Select your weather station from the menue at the very bottom Click Select

4)  You are Done setting up the Vista Weather Gadget!   Here are the different views you can get from this gadget.

  • Weather Live Conditions :  An overview of the current weather conditions, tempreture, and today’s high and low.  You can double click on the gadget to get the extended forcast.
  • Vista Weather Gadget - Live Conditions

     

  • Weather Forcast:  How does the rest of the week look like?
  • Vista Weather Gadget - Forcast

  • Weather Radar :  View the current radar shot of the current weather.
  • Microsoft Vista Weather Gadget - Weather Channel Radar

     

  • Weather Camera :  A local view of your city, mostly downtown, this is a live camera!
  • Vista Gadget Weather Camera

    You can click on the Weather gadget to get an extended view of either the camera, radar or the forcast. This information is provided by weatherbug, I found it to be pretty useful.
